Extra Rude?

What's your cutoff time for calling somebody? More specifically, what is your cutoff time for calling somebody with small children?

We got a phone call after 10 last night, and I thought that was pushing the limits.

So, what's your cutoff?

I prefer not to call after nine, buy I can be called pretty much up until midnight. I think calling someone who has small children after ten is rude unless it involves a crisis.

9 p.m., unless it's family or very close friends (or an emergency). I don't like being called after 9, so I don't do that to other people, either. :p

I don't like when the phone rings during/after the kids bedtime (7-8 pm) My sister used to call regularly then, drove me crazy.

I always jump if the phone rings after 9, though, it usually means bad news. (or the occasional drunk wrong number)

My cut-off is 9:00 PM but with some members of my family that I know it's ok...10:00 is the limit.

I try not to call anyone after 9 pm, and if they have kids, probably 8:30 or so.

9:00 for my own sanity. We shut the phone off in our room when the kids go to bed, and turn it back on after we turn in.

10pm is pretty standard, I think -- well, for family and friends. The phone cannot be heard in the Dude's room so I don't have a problem with calls after 9pm.

I was going to say I never call anyone earlier than 10 a.m. or later than 10 p.m. unless I know for a fact they keep later/earlier hours. But then I was thinking I'd never call my brother later than 9 p/m/ unless it was really important. Heh, I didn't even realize I had an earlier cut off time for people with young kids until you mentioned it.

9 PM unless it is an emergency, at which point BEFORE 10. After 10 is just Rude, IMO.
